Strong flow of water over Yosemite Falls combined with the light of a full moon creates a lunar rainbow or moonbow at the bottom of the upper falls.This phenomenon occurs only a few nights in spring or early summer.

I'm a landscape and wildlife photographer based in Genoa, Nevada, just south of Carson City.Most of my photos were taken while hiking in one of the East Bay Regional Park District parks about 50 miles east of San Francisco,and when visiting other northern California landmarks (I also have photos available that were taken in Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina and the Southwest). The East Bay Regional Park District has used many of my photos in their publications. In March of 2019 I moved to Genoa, Nevada, a beautiful little town near Carson City.
